Kddpowercentre   has now been designing, developing and manufacturing battery charge, monitoring and power systems for the last 4 decades.

The 1970’s saw the conception of Kdd with the joint patenting of a improved battery charging system. Followed by the release of Maxcharge 5.10, Kdd’s first product, the decade closed with initial design work on VSR split charge.

The 1980’s started with the release of P3000 low voltage power lock-out, to maintain power reserve and extend battery life. 1982 saw the P4000 integrated VSR split charge, battery monitor, low voltage power lock-out system. By 1985 we had P5000, VSR charging and monitoring system for two engine, three battery banks. The same year saw the release of our first multi-stage mains battery charger, that also inter-faced with P4000 and P5000 systems.

The 1990’s saw design and development centred on bar-graph displays, and solid state driver systems. The decade closed with the release of the first solid state shunts for analogue ammeters.

2000 saw a new millennium, and further developments to the range of analogue solid state shunts. During this decade AC shunts were added to the analogue shunt range, ending with the introduction of digital / bar-graph displays. VSR development saw the integration of solid state shunts to the split charge units, and the release of a 2 engine, 4 battery bank system.
