Kdd Powercentre VSR systems comprised a display unit, and a remote charge relay module controlled by the battery status display.

The charge relay module also acted as a voltage pick-up, plus control interface to the Powercentre mains battery charger and power lock-out relay.

New relay modules are available for all relay options supplied from 1980 on.

The units are direct replacements, which means there is no changes to the existing charging system.

In most cases a replacement relay can be fitted in 5 minutes, with only a screw driver and 1 spanner.

Units were supplied in three basic options.

Twin battery banks, engine and service battery.

Triple battery banks, two engine banks, and a service bank

Triple bank with bar driver / ammeter shunt built in.

Is my relay faulty?

If you think it may not be working, but not sure, please phone us. Yes even if it’s a 1980 unit, we are happy to explain how to check if you have a fault. Or if the relay is OK, were the fault actually lies.

If still in doubt, please return the relay, and we will test it for you.

Power lock-out these relays interface with the display module, and isolated fridges or similar to limit battery drain. Original relays were rated at 10 amp, the replacement units are reated at 30 amp.

AC selector relay these relays controlled the AC power source, shore or generator set. Two options were supplied manual or auto operation, original units were rated at 15 amp, the later units were 30 amp rated.
